Folkestone Ladies 2nds Vs Bromley & Beckenham
Folkestone ladies 2s travelled away to Bromley and Beckenham on Saturday in an attempt to maintain their unbeaten start to the season. Folkestone started strongly with Sian Reddick opening the scoring early after taking a quick free hit and driving into the D unchallenged. After this Folkestone never looked back and controlled the game with ease. A second goal came after long periods of answered pressure with player of the match Ashleigh Tutt releasing Zoe Hoare who, after having her first shot saved, slipped the ball to Rebecca Shaw to finish. The second half continued in the same vein as the first with Folkestone dominating in all areas of the pitch. Midfielders Liu Batchelor and Amber Gillespie linking well to create space for Hoare to add her own name to the scoresheet. The defensive unit of Janna Courtney, Claire McGee, Sue French and keeper Amy Bumstead were untroubled all game, with McGee making a series of attacking runs. The game was capped off when Tutt once again found a killer ball for Jess Wilson to finish with a reverse stick shot from an acute angle. Folkestone Ladies are sponsored by Wilson Sinclair Joinery
