Folkestone Ladies 3rds vs Blackheath

  • W 5-0
  • Blackheath

A great performance this week by the ladies 3’s after a small set back last
week from their winning ways. The opening goal was a perfect cross from
Kersten Jebbett which was confidently met first time by Dani Mynard and
the ball flew into the top right hand corner of the net. Even though the ladies
made frequent attacks the score remained 1-0 at half time. Coach Laura
Brazier rallied her troops with a motivational talk in the break and the Ladies
3s came out determined and vocal. Their game play improved with excellent

passing between players which led to an outstanding strike and goal from
Justine Stephens. The team remained confident and a further 3 goals come in
quick succession, Dani getting her second from a cross, the 3rd from a series
of short corners which allowed Kersten Jebbett to score from the left post
following a pass from Michelle Phillips, a coached set play. The final goal
from Justine Stephens was a superbly struck shot from the top of the D that
flew past the goal keeper.
The defence of Sue, Toni, Rachel, Jenny and Kersten all worked very hard
and allowed Helen to feel a little less pressured in goal. An excellent whole
team effort girls, well done and keep it up.
