Folkestone maintained their unbeaten run with a hard fought draw away at Ash
going a goal down early on Folkestone rallied themselves and asserted some d
on the game. Some nice passing led to a loose ball being hammered into the n
Parsons which levelled the scores at half time.

In the second half Folkestone looked the better side throughout and despite a p
opposition were able to maintain possession. A goalmouth scramble from a sho
the ball to Jack Gooding who slipped the ball in from close range giving the awa
lead. Folkestone soaked up the Ashford pressure for long periods and manage
cool as tempers flared. Ashford didn’t shower themselves in glory as their forwa
ball into the D and seized the opportunity to put the ball away while Folkestone
whistle that never came.
