Ladies 3rd XI (L) Saturday 30th November

December 2, 2019

A home game for the 3’s against a strong Sevenoaks team.
It wasn’t a great start for the OP’s as Sevenoaks managed to score 2 goals in the first 15 minutes of the game. Heads whent down a bit and panic set in after having 4 wins. Eventually the team pulled together and started working well as a team. It wasn’t long before the half time whistle that Folkestone got their first goal from Libby Kelvie.
Team talk at half time from Coach Cameron Tait saw Ops start off strong. Some great defending and amazing saves from Keeper Abby Slater, but after a Sevenoaks short corner they managed a 3rd goal.
Folkestone continued to push forward and were awarded a short corner. Injected by Kay Parsons to Vicky Bates at the top of the D who slipped it right to Suzy Hill, Hill passed it back to Parsons who was on the post and slammed it passed the Keeper.
Just before the final whistle Oaks scored again finishing the game with a loss this week of 4-2.
Player of the match Jeanette Cole
