Ladies 3rd XI v Tunbridge Wells (L) Saturday 29th February

March 1, 2020

A very windy home game today for the ladies which started with a team breakfast!
After last weeks game I think everyone was left feeling deflated and after some positive training on Monday everybody was in good spirits and ready for the game ahead.
Despite the strong winds the Ladies fought hard from the first whistle. The forwards made some lovely passes up to the D on several occasions and had a couple of unlucky misses on goal, but not for long! Vicky Bates picked the ball up in the D and without hesitation smashed it passed the keeper. Folkestone were feeling strong and were communicating well. The defense were awesome at stopping any balls from entering the D and fed them quickly back up to the attackers. Chantelle Duncan made a great run round the outside of the D and swept it in to Bates who slapped it passed the keeper giving Folkestone their 2nd goal.
After half time Bates found herself picking up the ball from Kay Parsons and taking it towards the goal and again smashed it in giving us a tidy 3-0 win and a hat trick for player of the match Vicky Bates. The defense worked really hard in front of keeper Abby Slater which meant Folkestone were able to keep a clean sheet. A good TEAM
