Folkestone Ladies 3’s V’s Tunbridge Wells 3’s
A much brighter start to the game this week and Folkestone were ready from first push back. Players worked hard and moved the ball quickly around the pitch. Both sides were evenly matched and got to half time at 0-0.
OP’s were ready to switch it up a notch and the first goal came after Jeanette Cole ran the ball to the D and passed it to Michelle Phillips, after a bit of a scuffle back and forth Vicky Bates managed to get her stick to the ball and flick it in the back of the net. Op’s continued to work hard but unfortunately Wells got a strike away and passed the ball across the D to a player who finished it with a goal. Folkestone realised quickly that with not much time left we had to step up. That’s exactly what we did by earning a few short corners. Cleo Steer injected the ball to Bates who slipped it left to Phillips who smashed it in the goal. With just minutes remaining the final goal came when Suzy Hill won the ball and drove it to the D where Libby Kelvie was unmarked, Hill made a clear pass to Kevie who swept it clean passed the keeper taking us to a 3-1 victory. Player of the match Libby Kelvie.
